The Holidays Have Just Begun…

Our annual screening of the latest Warren Miller ski movie took place on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. 400 ski enthusiasts, perhaps fired up by the 30″+ snowfall in the days prior, came along ready to party – and party they did. And raised a lot of money for our youth ski team. With the fast-approaching Jack Frost parade, the excitement of the  holidays is here!  Check out our calendar of events and you will see that our December is chock full o’ family fun, starting with The Wizards of Winter on Wednesday 3 December. On the Friday of Jack Frost weekend we will show the movie The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,  the Gogebic Range Concert Band will perform on Saturday after the parade, and on Sunday afternoon the IAS High School Band will present their Christmas Concert.  The Middle school band will perform on the following Tuesday, and the Accent! show choir hits the stage on Saturday 13 December. We wrap up our family-friendly month of fun with a very special movie – Frank Capra’s 1946 classic It’s a Wonderful Life.  Interestingly, just last week, Pope Leo XIV revealed his favorite movies. Guess what? It’s a Wonderful Life was #1 on the Pontiff’s list. If you’ve never seen It’s a Wonderful Life on the big screen, mark your calendar and come along – see if you agree with Pope Leo that it is a truly memorable cinematic experience.
