It’s Going to be a September to Remember!

July and August were busy months at HIT and we just want to say thank you for coming out to enjoy the shows. It was great to see more than 50 local kids back on our stage in Prairie Fire’s Alice In Wonderland after a two year Covid hiatus.  At The Little Mermen, we witnessed lots of kids up dancing to familiar Disney tunes! Next came Chicago show band The Blooze Brothers and the Emberlight’s All That Jazz and Sing Happy. On August 13, Jay White and his Sweet Caroline tour band rocked the house with their Neil Diamond tribute. August will wrap up with  Emberlight’s gala Awards Night on August 27.  Whew! As we said, it’s been a busy one, but we are not resting on our laurels.

Great shows are coming in September including our First Friday screening of The Wizard of Oz. There’s really nothing quite like watching a classic on our big screen. On the weekend of September 9 & 10 we have a double-header: Beatles tribute Fourever Fab on Friday night and SixtiesMania on Saturday night. On Sunday 18 September we kick off our monthly Sunday family matinee movie series with the The Mitchells vs The Machines. Then on Wednesday 21 September we welcome Old Blind Dogs from Scotland, playing Celtic music at it’s best. And we close out September with classical music from Ashland’s Garland City Consort. We’re sure you will find something that appeals to you so we hope to see at the theatre soon.
