Artrageous Wows 650 Kids – and a Bunch of Adults!

On Wednesday 17 April, Artrageous came to town and presented their unique, high energy, immersive, multi- disciplinary show to 650+ kids from five area schools. The 9am school show and 7pm show for the public featured live musicians, singers, dancers, and visual artists strutting their stuff on the Ironwood Theatre stage. Some wonderfully exciting instruments never before seen in Ironwood were the Theremin and a laser harp – both of which are electronic musical instruments controlled without physical contact by the performer! As if that wasn’t enough, masterpieces of artwork were created LIVE on stage while all that was going on! The noise in the auditorium at the 9am show presented clear evidence of an excited and appreciative youth audience, and comments heard from people leaving the 7pm show were similarly enthusiastic.
