TrueGrass! is a new bluegrass band in the old style, covering material by the classic artists of old with reverence, but also adapting modern material and originals to the bluegrass idiom. In TrueGrass! Tom Draughon brings together a formidable array of players as part of an upcoming multimedia theatre show about the rural roots and history of bluegrass, (still a work in progress), and also as a touring concert band.

Tom has graced the HIT stage in the past with Indian Summer, Take 3 and others.  In a TrueGrass! concert, he is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, primarily playing Doc Watson style guitar and fronting lead vocals.  The band also features the talents of Jed Malischke on banjo and dobro; Bruce Qualey on bass; and fiddler Liesel Wilson.  And they ALL sing!

If you like American roots Southern Appalachian and Bluegrass music, you will love TrueGrass!
