Dorothy Meets Alice
Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017
Witness the delightful meeting of two of literature's most famous young ladies, presented by the Awkward Stage Drama Club (ASDC). A young man puts off a book report till the last minute, then suddenly finds himself in a strange place somewhere between Oz and Wonderland. It then becomes his responsiblility to unscramble the stories and steer the familiar characters—the Cowardly Lion, the Mad Hatter, the Scarecrow and the White Rabbit, among others—to their ultimate destinations while avoiding the Wicked Witch and the Red Queen. This silly, adventuresome romp is filled with laughter and surprises at every turn. And a couple of lessons emerge along the way as well.
Please support this youth venture – you are assured of a great afternoon's entertainment.

A Tribute to The Man in Black - Johnny Cash!
Jay “Jayder” Kalk formed Church of Cash in sunny Honolulu back in 2010. With an uncanny grasp of the Man in Black’s catalog and many years of experience touring the United States, Europe, and Asia, Jayder has returned to his Minnesota home to spread the gospel of one of the world’s most important and enduring songwriters. The Church of Cash is true to the music of Johnny Cash. As one reviewer stated: "...singer Jayder’s deep baritone voice sings like a prairie breeze and stomps like a boot heel." That description alone ought to be enough to get you out to experience this performance. Church of Cash is not a country band. Church of Cash is a tribute band with the express purpose of honoring the indelible legacy of Johnny Cash. Road-tested and always road-ready, Church of Cash celebrates the soul of American music.
Church of Cash is absolutely loyal to the songs and the message that Johnny left to all of us - and in a way that no one else can match. The band brilliantly keeps his memory and his message alive with a youthful spirit that keep audiences completely entertained. When Kallk and his band appeared in Ironwood back in 2014, the audience raved about how good they were. If you caught the act then, you know it is a show worth seeing again. Whether you consider yourself a country music fan or not, this is one show not to be missed.
