Coles Foundation Comfort & Joy Concert

Celebrate the Reason for the Season. Many of the performers featured on last year’s Comfort and Joy CD will appear, including: The Chamber Singers; Accent!; Ironwood Area Elementary Select Children’s Choir; The Comfort & Joy Quartet; The Tamster Trio; and solos by Matt Clausen, Lydia Patritto, Jonathan Haas, Jenny Sambrano, Naomi Borth, Deb Wahlberg; Kevin Maki; Amber Hollenbeck, Rachel Winkler, Denise Haas and more. Ballet by The Ironwood Dance Company and dance routines by The Claudettes. Proceeds benefit the COLES Foundation, providing support services to families dealing with terminal illness.

Gogebic Range Honor Band

The Gogebic-Range Honor Band is made up of the high school band students from Bessemer, Ewen-Trout Creek, Hurley, Ironwood, Mercer, and Wakefield-Marinesco. These students were nominated to participate by their school's Band Directors. The performance will be directed by Dr. Stephen Grugin from Northern Michigan University. The program will include standard concert/symphonic literature. Come support our local talented student musicians.

Casey Abrams, the 23 year-old singer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist, and Season 10 American Idol® finalist will showcase songs from his self-titled debut album and perform a few numbers with our own HIT Idol participants.
Casey co-wrote, sang played bass, acoustic guitar, drums, Wurlitzer and even recorder on the album. Whether the finger-snapping cool of “Simple Life,” the contemporary “Ghosts” and “Get Out”, his R&B ballad “Wore Out My Soul” or “Blame It On Me” which features Casey’s soulful bass line and vocal agility, those who attend the show will be left with no doubt about his skills as a songwriter and performer.
