Larry Gatlin Wows Sunday Night Crowd

Published on Sunday, Mar. 20, 2016

Larry Gatlin wowed the Sunday night crowd with an exceptional program of music, laughter, and story-telling. A consumate showman, Gatlin had the audience eating out of the palm of his hand as he told stories from his 50 years in the music biz.   Comments heard in the theatre concourse as the audience departed included:  "Great showman",  "Best show ever", "Thanks for bringing him to Ironwood", "Fantastic show", "That was wonderful", "Thank you, thank you, thank you".  For the staff and volunteers who worked the show, it was certainly one of those nights when you walk out of the theatre with a smile on your face.  And the best news: Gatlin promised to come back and do another show with 'the brothers' .

Sincere thanks to our underwriting sponsors who helped bring Gatlin to town - Don Funk, Aspirus Grandview, Ironwood Plastics, McDonald Jacobs and Silc, and the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs mini grant prgram adminstered by Copper Country Communty Arts Council.
